How does it work?

How it works?

Why make the switch to period underwear?

800 YEARS

the time it takes for non-recyclable period products to decompose

6.25 YEARS

of your life spent bleeding

125-150KG

the average amount of waste a menstruator pollutes in a lifetime

Period underwear can last 2-3 years, making them a sustainable solution that's friendly to mother earth (and our wallets).

Not all period underwear are created equal

So ... do period underwear actually work?

How to care for period underwear

1. Rinse in cold water

After you remove your period underwear, rinse them in cold water until the water runs clear.

2. Gentle Wash

If machine washing, wash on the gentle cycle. To make your underwear last, hand-wash with a mild detergent.

3. Dry

Do not put in dryer. Instead, lay underwear flat or hang dry.

First time?

Trying wearing it overnight towards the end of your period when your flow is lighter, before moving on to full-time use.

Caring for long lasting quality

  • Hand rinse in cold water before washing — hot water
  • Use a mesh bag to keep in good shape
  • Don’t soak — soaking can cause thinning and reduce the leakproof function. Squeezing the gusset is more effective to get the fluids out.
  • Always wash cold (<30° C)
  • Don’t put your undies in the dryer
  • Don't twist or wring –– lay flat or hang dry
  • Do not use harsh detergents, fabric softener, or bleach. It breaks down the high-fech function and reduce durability so they won’t last as long.
